How to Book….
The Old Guard accommodates six people and is priced for the sole use of the property. Our changeover days for weekly rentals are changing to Friday to Friday from Autumn 2023. There may be occasions where these days can be flexible, so please do get in touch to discuss before making an online booking.
Short stays are available during low season weeks. These are set up to be Friday – Monday and Monday to Friday, however if the dates on the calendar don’t reflect your requirements, please get in touch and we will try our best to accommodate your requirements.
To book, please use the ‘book online’ button where you will be taken to our pricing and availability page. If you prefer to book with a known platform, the you can also find us on AirBnB and VRBO. If you have any questions please have a look at our FAQ’s below.

Prices
- Prices are variable depending on the time of year and length of stay, all prices are shown on the current bookings platform eg AirBnB
Payment
- Payments can be made via our booking platform via card payment (1.5% fee applies), or through AirBnB. Otherwise, payments can be made via bank transfer. We require 25% of the total cost to be paid at the time of booking along with a £500 damage deposit. The outstanding balance is due 6 weeks before your stay.
Last Minute
Bookings made 6 weeks or less, before the start date for your stay, will require payment for the full amount at the time of booking.
Keys
Details of key collection will be sent once the payment balance is received in full.
Arrival & Departure
Check in after 4pm on the day of arrival, check out is 10am on the day of departure. If the property is available sooner than 4pm then we will let you know. Please do not arrive earlier than this without prior agreement.
Pets
Up to 2 dogs are allowed at The Old Guard with a few provisos. There is an additional charge of £30 per week per dog. Dogs must be kept off of the furniture and out of the bedrooms. They are welcome to sleep either in the utility room or the kitchen/diner at night.
Bedding & Towels
- Bedding and towels will be provided for all guests. Please bring your own beach & dog towels.
Directions & Door code
We shall send the full address and directions for The Old Guard once we receive the payment balance in full.
You will receive the door code a few days before your arrival.
Cancellations
Cancellations within 1 week or less of your booking will be charged 100% of the booking unless we are able to re-let the property within this time. Cancellations up to 4 weeks before your stay will be charged 50% of the booking.
Short Breaks
During low season we offer three and four nights stays. The availability of these will be shown in the booking calendar. Contact us if you can’t book what you are looking for and we will try and accommodate you.
Parking
There is private parking on the driveway for 2 to 3 vehicles. Please note that the driveway entrance is tight and needs careful manouvering.
Phones & WIFI
There is WIFI at The Old Guard and limited phone reception. There is no landline.
